No.5 Kodak Cartridge camera from 1903. Kodak cartridge cameras were introduced in 1897. This is the 2nd model of the larger 5 x 7 inch camera which was also suitable for glass plates. The beautiful dark-red bellows are light-tight. The shutter is the Triple-action shutter and does work. Rising and shifting front panel. This camera, with an image size of 5 x 7 inch, can be used both as a roll film camera as well as a plate camera. Removable back is unlocked by means of a slide to the right inside the dropbed. Small cracks in leather back due to dryness. There is also a built-in tripod for vertical recordings in the bottom of the dropbed.
