Book published without a title page, at the author’s expense, most likely printed in a few copies, this one on Perrigord shaped vellum.
Gift copy, offered to the diplomat Robert Chodron de Courcel (1875-1966), with a dedication from Leon Geoffray’s widow.
Enriched with a handwritten signed letter, dated 24 April 1901, written in Leon Geoffray’s hand on duodecimo paper with his monogram addressed quite certainly to Robert de Courcel “Mon cher ami” (letter of condolence).
