Fully handwritten card of Dora D'Istria, pseudonym of Duchess Helena Koltsova-Massalskaya, writer of Albanian and Romanian descent who stayed in Florence for over thirty years.
In the card she writes to the recipient the time at which she can receive him at home, in the early afternoon because in the morning she is out for her walk.
The note is written on high-weight paper and a monogram in relief can be seen at the top.

Dora d'Istria, pseudonym of Duchess Helena Koltsova-Massalskaya, born Elena Ghica (Bucharest, January 22, 1828 - Florence, November 17, 1888), was a Romanian writer and noblewoman of Albanian origin, but Russian and Italian by acquisition, exponent of Romanticism and Feminism, considered the Mary Shelley of Eastern Europe.
