An excellent antique Chinese Dehua (Fujian Province), monochrome porcelain Blanc de Chine censer with Phoenix head handles and a central decoration of archaic Tiger and meandering patterns, executed in a nice monochrome ‘pork fat white’ glaze (typical for early 17th century ware). In the border a classical decoration of geometrical patterns, very finely impressed. Handcrafted in ancient China during the Ming dynasty, late Wanli to Chongzhen period (ca. 1620-1650). On the backside an unglazed foot. Guaranteed original and of the stated period.
Diagonal: 15,6 centimeter.
Condition: The object is in overall good condition, shallow flakes off the rim, baking imperfections (under the glaze), see pictures. The condition is carefully checked with strong UV-light and bright translucent white light.
