For collectors of special objects.
Very rare bronze candleholder of Jacques Quinet by Pierre Turin, 1950s
Beautiful patina. Not cleaned.
Architect and decorator, J. Quinet (1918-1992) left his mark on post-war French design. In the 1950s, he carried out numerous commissions to furnish and decorate boats. In 1950, he was in charge of decorating the liner "La Bourdonnais". In 1954, Jacques Quinet was entrusted with the architecture of the cargo ships "Godavery" and "Moonie". The layout of the cargo ships "Mississippi", "Fort de France" and "Fort Niagara" of the Compagnie Générale Transatlantique and the liner "France" in 1961 completes this list. In addition to maritime furniture are Jacques Quinet's creations for private mansions and industrial buildings (Centre de l'Énergie Atomique).

Pierre Louis Aristide Turin, (1891-1968), is a French medallist and sculptor.
