Il Chianti Classico “Berardenga” è una delle storiche e più note espressioni di Fèlsina, un’importante cantina che da 50 anni sta scrivendo la storia del Sangiovese e del Chianti Classico. Questo vino viene infatti prodotto dal 1967 ed incarna le origini e lo spirito della cantina.

Il Chianti Classico “Berardenga” Felsina nasce da uve di Sangiovese coltivate nei terreni di Castelnuovo Berardenga, a nord-est di Siena, dove ha sede la cantina. Le viti sono allevate a spalliera, con potatura a cordone speronato e guyot in modo da limitare le rese per favorire l’eccellenza dell’uva: 5-8 gemme per ceppo. Il processo di vinificazione si protrae per 12-15 giorni in vasche di acciaio, con follature e rimontaggi giornalieri. In primavera il vino viene trasferito in botti di rovere di Slavonia di media capacità e in barrique di secondo e terzo passaggio. Un ulteriore affinamento in bottiglia di almeno 3 mesi completa il processo produttivo e garantisce il raggiungimento del giusto grado di maturazione.
