This lamp original idea was a pencil sketch Vico Magistretti drew on the back of a subway ticket. Thanks to its distinctive design, Eclisse is now an coveted collector’s item.
Hand-painted metal.
Eclisse is permanently exhibited at the M.O.M.A. in New York, at the Triennale del Design Museum in Milan and in other museums.
The sticker label on the back of the lamp proves it was a limited edition of 100 pieces.
This lamp was part of an important private collection. It was always on display, never used and is in excellent condition, as pictured.
The last picture shows the famous metro ticket where Magistretti drew the very first Eclipse sketch.
