The magazine “Dire” was created in 1962 by Jean Vodaine. It was written and printed by him on a century-old press that was destined for the scrapyard. “Dire” uses all the tricks of modern or new typography to capture or set the poem in front of today's reader, who is perhaps still too eager to view a poem like the timetable of a train, and yet it is not a typographical magazine, some people may not like it, nor is it a catch-all. Although it has published a few signatures, its merit lies in the fact that it has published texts that would not have appeared anywhere else. "Dire" wants to be a creative magazine, where it is important to say something.
