Giancarlo Perelli Cippo was born in Milan in 1923.
He was initiated into painting by Gino Moro and Arturo Checchi, his teachers at the Liceo Artistico of Brera.
Starting from a classical basis and through a personal research, he took his painting to an intense expressiveness.
Still young, he received his first invitations to the Biennials of Sacred Art of the Angelicum and to the Rome Quadrennials.
He won prizes and awards in many painting competitions in Brescia, Bergamo, Turin, in 1953 the award -Paesaggio della Lomellina
The places frequented and loved by the artist became part of his creative set: The canals, San Siro and its horses running. The masterful views of Amsterdam with its canals.
