"Maurice Broquet, 1909-? (20th century) is a Belgian modernist photographer.
His photographs were published many times in the 1930s in magazines such as ‘Bulletin de l’Association Belge de Photographie et de Cinématographie’ as well as ‘PHOTO’ magazine.
He also published articles in these magazines.
His photographs were taken before the war, some copies were still being exhibited in the immediate after-war period, some exhibition labels dating from around 1946/1948 attest to this.
“After some recent research, there are no signs of Broquet after the war.
It is very likely that the artist lost his life during that period.”
Some photos were exhibited in this immediate post-war period 1946/48, probably by friends of the club or family.
Maurice Broquet was a completely modernist artist, whose images were unpretentious”.
