To combat the anger of the gods, the "shaman-priests" of Bön, the Bönpos, engage in complex ceremonies and rituals.
They serve as a medium between the spirits and humans.
The rites they accomplish are different in each region of Tibet, as each place is inhabited by a particular spirit who is part of the everyday life of the locals in that region and who receives offerings and sacrifices from them.
