Libero Verzetti studied at the Accademia Ligustica di Belle Arti, becoming an Academic of Merit in 1938. He was one of the founders of the Futurist Group Sintesi (whose first exhibition took place in 1931); together with him there were numerous other painters: Dino Gambetti, Alf Gaudenzi, Luciano Lombardo, Tullio Mazzotti (ceramist), Giacomo Picollo, Lelio Pierro.
A painter of landscapes, seashores, portraits; he also painted town views.
His painting was characterised by a dry and controlled use of the paint; this stemmed from the painter's contacts with the Milanese art scene, and in particular with Carrà.
Verzetti participated in numerous national and international exhibitions.
Among the most important we remember the Venice Biennale of 1942 -1948- 1950- 1952.
