There is an old small restoration on the canvas.
Artist, familiar with the Paris Opera, Charles-Emmanuel Jodelet (1883-1969) produced many paintings for which he got several awards.
Jodelet brings back sketchbooks from his many travels. He is also illustrator and caricaturist. It illustrates several works, such as the novel “La Vagabonde” by Colette, “Un bon petit diable” by la comtesse de Ségur or “Dansons la trompeuse” by Raymond Escholier and Marie-Louise Escholier.
