Collectible museum-worthy netsuke, rare subject depicting a man with a rosary around the ear, looking after a dog.

Netsuke are small traditional Japanese sculptures, usually in ivory or wood, whose origin probably dates back to the 15th century.
They served as a clip to secure some small containers or objects to the belt.
They are highly appreciated items on the collector's market.
