15th century Japanese katana in old sharp traditional polish and Edo koshirae.
It is believed that this is a Koto era Uchigatana type katana, a slender swift katana sword type popular in that era.
Tang is unaltered mumei with good age patination.
Saya has nice kojiri end fitting, brown-gold dust saya with small repairs, nice open work iron tsuba, tuska has nice shell theme fuchi and kashira with gold and silver inlay, menukies are also shells, one is gold, other is silver inlayed.
Sword comes with copy of japanese registration card.
