Provenance: From a British private collection.
This lot comes from the private collection of Mr. J. Bahamonde who over a period of 20 years acquired his collection from various prestigious dealers. His degree in archaeology from one of the best British universities and passion for Chinese art is reflected in this beautiful jade carving.
The plate expertly carved with shallow rounded sides rising to a slight flared rim, the underside engraved with a six-character Qianlong mark. The jade translucent.
Diameter: 18.5
Condition: Very good overall, the stone with lighter and darker inclusions which are expected from jade. The carving inspected throughout; very tiny flakes on the rim and foot ring related to manufacture. NO cracks, NO repairs.
