Provenance: From a British private collection.
This lot comes from the private collection of Mr. Juan Carlos Bahamonde who over a period of 20 years acquired his collection from various prestigious dealers. His degree in Archaeology from Manchester University, which is one of the best in the U.K. and passion for ancient history is reflected in these rare bronze vases.
The vases with flower shaped everted rims and hexagonal mid section with climbing chilong dragons carrying a stem of ruyi in their jaws, archaistic gilt seal mark to the underside which have been gilded, also there some traces of gilt on the underside.
Height: 19 cm.
Condition: Good overall, age related patina, some use related wear and some cast flaws including but not limited to a hole under the base of one of the vases.
