Black lacquered sword stand (katanakake) for five swords, decorated with many mother of pearl inlay-work . The front of the stand is depicting a Japanese garden (probably a Shinto temple garden) with five Japanese priests (Kannushi) also know as "god master". All the decorations are laid in with mother of pearl. The drawer of the stand is also decorated with mother of pearl in bamboo and flower style. There are traces of usage, old repairs and some spots missing lacquer but given the age in nice original condition. (please see pictures)
