A large red lacquered suit-of-armour (oyoroi) with a two-piece cuirass and faded blue cords (shu’urushinuri kon’ito okegawa nimaido gusoku).
A large six-plate red hoshikabuto-helmet with large fukikaeshi and connected Kuwahata-antlers and in between a round maedate decorated with a coiling dragon relief. The fukikaeshi and the sunshade of the helmet are decorated with imitation smoked leather. The helmet has at the back an orange tassel and three neck-guards (shikoro).
A black lacquered ‘‘old man’ facial mask with a white moustache (resseibō) and a four-piece gorget (nodawa). Large and broad eight-piece sode with orange tassels protect the shoulders.
The kote that protects the arms has above and below red lacquered metal pieces connected with Japanese mail over blue brocade showing floral motives.
The two piece bucket-shaped cuirass (yokohagi okegawa nimaido) is above decorated with smoked leather and in front with a gold lacquered family crest in the shape of a coiled dragon. In front of the cuirass hangs two orange tassels. From the cuirass hangs a six part five-piece kusazuri-skirt with red hem.
Haidate that protect the upper legs show above dark blue brocade and below laced red lacquered metal pieces (karuta). The greaves (suneate) that protect the lower legs have vertical metal strips (shinosuneate). With a dark blue brocade waist band and a black lacquered store box (yoroibako).
In nice original untouched and completely matching condition.
