Exceptional okimo depicting a seated man drinking from a small bowl. In front of him, you can observe a table set with food and a brazier with a soup that is being heated up.
Perfectly finished down to the smallest details.
With its original wood base.
Signed Kkatsumitsu in lacquer on the bottom of the base.
In very good overall condition, has natural veining in the ivory which is compatible with its age.
Japanese artefact from the Meiji period (circa 1890–1910).
The item was produced prior to 1947, and is therefore in compliance with European Union regulations on ivory trade.
The item comes with a certificate of authenticity that will be sent to the buyer.
