Bronze Vase by Tsuda Eijyu. Comes with the original Tomobako. Stamped by the artist on the bottom of the product and the Tomobako.
The artist, Tsuda Eijyu, was the successor of the Imperial artist Tsuda Daijyu (1875-1946) who was a professor at the Tokyo school of fine Arts. Eijyu studied directly under Daijyu, and is considered to be the most influential Japanese bronze caster of the second half of the 20th century. He won the grand prize at the Japan Fine Arts Exhibition (Nitten) in 1962.
