Up for auction is a nice early 19th century 7/8 italian violin for professional musician or collector. The label says: Pietro Pallotta fece l' anno 1800 n 34 Perugia. This is a superb sounding instrument, also very beautiful in appearance.
The softly flamed two pieces maple back measures 352 mm. The total length of the violin is 585 mm. String length 320 mm. High grained spruce top, golden amber varnish. This violin is in a good used condition, with some small old repaired cracks, no cracks under the bridge, ebony set up, new Aubert bridge and new strings. The scroll is grafted. Beautiful model with a very elegant natural amber patina, very high quality of woods, perfect details all over. The sound is very powerful, deep, mellow and rich.
