Fu Takenaka was born in 1945. She worked for a design company and started late with printmaking, in 2003. The artist works in the technique of the Japanese woodblock print. Fu Takenaka is a member of the Japanese artist association Nihon Hanga-in and well known in Japan.

Ryuhon-ji is a temple of Nichiren School of Buddhist and was founded by Nichizo, the grand disciple of Nichiren. The temple had burned down and moved several times, and finally shifted to its current address after being destroyed by the Great Hoei Fire in 1708. Some of its temple treasures have been designated as an important cultural property of the country, while the temple buildings among others have been declared an important cultural asset of the town. The cemetery is home to the grave of a vassal of Ishida Mitsunari, Shima Sakon—nicknamed the Demon Sakon—who is said to be too good to be working under Mitsunari himself.
