Bontempi was an Italian musical instruments company, founded in 1937 in Potenza Picena (MC) and with an additional plant in Martinsicuro (TE).
It is mainly known for the manufacture of plastic organs called Chord Organ, small keyboard instruments in which the sound is produced by air blown through reeds by a small motor. Bontempi has also produced several models of electronic keyboard.
Moreover, Bontempi has built musical instruments for educational purposes such as wind instruments, keyboards, guitars, drums and percussion instruments for the toy market.
Bontempi was also the owner of the famous musical instrument brand Farfisa.
