ATEA was an Antwerp telecom and electronics company that was founded in 1892 - during the early years of telephony - under the name "Ateliers de Téléphone et Electricité Anversoise". It developed and produced telephones and power stations for home and abroad. The company experienced strong growth in the 1960s due to the rise of electronics. It was later taken over by Siemens.
