A simple sheet with initials G.R.
It came through the trousseaux of the family in Pau. The owners told me that
this kind of sheeting was used for the " maids downstairs" bedrooms and was considered already quite a coup as most bed linen for the staff was without any embroidery, initials or detail.
The initials G.R. are simple and no doubt were done in the "sewing room" by the seamstresses of the chateau near Pau which to date exist and still belonging to the family.
