Sublime Japanese sabre Katana from the middle of the Edo period (Kyoho era, 1716), signed by Kino Masahira, member of the Soshu-den school, active during the Edo era, he lived in Buzen-no-kuni, current Fukuoka prefecture. The sabre is certified by the NBTHK (Nihon bijutsu token hozon kyokai), society of preservation and register of Japanese sabres, guaranteeing also its authenticity, origin and signature, it also includes original trial paper (Hozon level) dated 2012. The general condition is very good, the blade is in old polish, there are some black stains and traces of use present (please look at the pictures). The sabre is well-preserved in its protection sheath (Shirasaya), the copper Habaki gold-plated is in very good condition. The blade shape is Shinogi zukuri. The Hamon of the blade is Gonome-midare and Nie-deki giving a sober and complex air the sabre.
