Glass bowl in a silver-plated holder, marked J&C (Jürst & Co.). The openwork holder makes the piece resemble a radiant sun. The glass cover is crowned with a silver-plated rosette. The glass bowl itself is in very beautiful condition. Only one small internal hairline crack underneath the rosette. This isn't noticeable, though, as it falls below the rosette (see photos). And two small, indistinct internal hairline cracks at the bottom of the glass bowl (see photos 18 through 21). A small opening in the bowl, perhaps for ventilation? (Because this opening is too small to be meant for a spoon.) Marked on the underside of the holder. Please view the photos. The silver plating shows some gradual wear, causing the gold colour of the copper to show through somewhat. This gives the piece an authentic look.
A wonderful piece!
