Alberto Díaz Gutierrez, best known as Alberto Korda (14th of September, 1928 - 25th of May, 2001), was a Cuban photographer. 1 He is famous for the famous photograph he took of Che Guevara at the funeral procession of the death during the terrorist attack to the ship La Coubre, on March the 5th, 1960.
He accompanied Fidel Castro as a photographer on different tours that the Cuban leader made during those years. 1960 changed his life, since it was during this year that he took the famous picture El Guerrillero Heroico, which, according to great critics is one of the ten best photographic portraits of all times and constitutes the most reproduced in the history of photography all over the world which, likewise, changed for ever the aesthetics of the revolutionary man.
His works are in many museums and private collections around the world, and his works are very appreciated
