This is a beautiful, rare, genuine Japanese antique. From the Meiji Era 明治時代 ( 1868-1912) this is a minature, laquered wood and gold gilt, Minature Tamon-Ten 多聞天 Bodhisattva in a 'Tabibutsu' Zushi. This was designed as a minature for the traveller.
Originally part of an old Japanese family collection, from a old rural estate sell, imported directly from Japan by me.
A wonderful piece for the collector, altar, or an impressive interior design statement.
