RAD officers and men initially wore the same sharp weapon, a large Hewer with plates with deer grip. In 1938, RAD officers wore a scaled-down hewer. It has silver plated fittings with a top of an eagle head. The cross-guard has a shovel over wheat shafts, with a superimposed swastika. The weapon features white celluloid grip plates. The silver-plated sheath has a curly design decoration at the top and wheat stems at the bottom. The middle part is equipped with a pebble panel. The matt Bowie-shaped knife is etched with the RAD motto, Arbeit Adelt.
The handle shows a slight crack on front and back. The blade is in perfect condition no rust damage slight wear damage to the sheath. This original RAD dagger in this good condition are very scarce a must in every Militaria collection
