In 1928, Noël Berbudeau bought the Château Beau-Mazerat which is adjoining Château Grand-Mayne.
In January 1934, Jean Nony, wine merchant and owner of Château Cassevert, adjoining Château Grand-Mayne, bought Grand-Mayne Castle and Château Beau-Mazerat. He remains at his head for more than 40 years. Château Cassevert will become the estate's second wine until 1985. Château Beau-Mazerat is marketed independently.
The second wine of the estate is called: Plantes du Mayne.
Exist since the 1986 vintage. Previously it was called Château Cassevert.
Vintage description 1975 Bordeaux
An extraordinary vintage for Bordeaux. Despite some violent storms during August and September, the harvest was very good with perfectly ripe grapes. Rich, strong and extremely tannic, these wines have a good cellaring capacity. Today, there are huge differences in quality between the crus, some are austere and closed, while others are rich and deep
