Information: Gaston Coppens studied sculpture at the ‘Ecole Boulle’ and quickly turned towards drawing, particularly in pastels, his graphics show the characteristics of his training: relief, light and harmony.
He settled in Boulogne-Billancourt, France, where he took part in many art salons: ‘Vrais indépendants’, ‘Société des peintres de montagne’, ‘Société nationale d'horticulture’.
Several galleries dedicated personal exhibitions to his work, among them the prestigious Bernheim-Jeune gallery (historical gallery of the Impressionists: Renoir, Cézanne, Matisse), but also the Galerie Royale and the Galerie Pittoresque.
The museum of Boulogne-Billancourt has a collection of his drawings and watercolours.
