Avifauna is about merging two worlds that both form a great source of inspiration for the designers, nature and textiles. The project originated as a study to translate the beauty, shape, colour and texture of birds into material.
"We had them stuff birds without their plumage and started moulding them directly. This has resulted in a series of abstract birds where the plumage has been replaced by a translation into fabric. Every piece is unique due to the difference in size, pose and mould."
Avifauna is made in a numbered edition of 10 pieces. This duck is the last available piece.
