Oil painting on pressed cardboard, made by Enotrio Pugliese, born in 1920 in Venezuela from Calabrian parents. He died in 1942 in Rome, where he lived. Famous for his landscapes and railway carriages on dead-end tracks, he had a great success throughout the country in the 1980s. This painting depicts a cluster of houses, perched on the hill of San Costantino Calabro, native village of his parents, and it highlights his passion for the Calabrian territory. The roofs of the houses, made straight off, are proof of the artist’s happy gesture! Size: mm 420 - mm 620, with new and proper wooden frame: mm 610 - mm 710.
