Pair of Art Deco wall lamps made of gilded bronze with green patina - Maison "Genet & Michon" in Paris ca. 1935. Very good condition, 4 flute-style candle-ring made of opaline twisted/sanded glass. Bayonet bulbs. Philippe Genet and Lucien Michon, engineers who graduated from the Boule school, founded the company in 1911. Dealers and designers of furniture and especially light fixtures, they designed from 1919 also many objects strongly marked as "Art Deco" style item in pressed glass, such as outstanding quality vases. Their objects will be part of an order for the liner Normandy. In 1925, the company received the first prize of the Exhibition of Decorative Arts. In 1929, they created the chandeliers of the hall and the famous luminous glass roof of the grand staircase of the Splendide Hotel in Dax, one of the emblems of Art Deco architecture.
