A stupa is a Buddhist structure that contains the relics of a Buddhist saint. Stupas are found in large parts of the south and east of Asia.
In Tibet, it is customary for worshippers to walk seven rounds around the stupa, while turning a prayer wheel and saying prayers. According to the Buddhist devotion in South-East Asia, one should walk clockwise rounds around the stupa.
Besides genuine relics, offerings are also buried in the stupa. These are called Tsa-Tsa.
