A lovely set of two antique Chinese porcelain joss stick holders depicting a mirrored pair blanc de chine foo lions or Shishi covered in a monochrome white glaze. The have one paw on a ball or a pup, and covered with curly ribbons and knots. Decorated with remnants of identical painting in red pigmentation, standing on a high octagonal base. Handcrafted in ancient China, Dehua province, during the Qing dynasty, Kangxi period (ca. 1690). Guaranteed original and of the stated period.
Height: 13,4 and 13,7 centimeter.
Condition: The object is in fair condition, (small) chips, pieces missing, one with a hairline on the base, both without any restorations. The condition is carefully checked with strong UV-light and bright translucent white light.
