Individual conflicts and class struggle during the early years of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution, in a mining town of Moa, in eastern Cuba, when a large nickel-producing plant becomes inactive. An engineer manages to start it when the revolution nationalizes the factory and many of the Cuban technicians who worked with the Americans leave the country.
