A fine Art Deco silver plated coupe with a turned wood stem on a tapering base. Executed by French silversmith company Orfèvrerie ERCUIS
Marked to the side Ercuis, G33235, Centaur Mark and 10.
Founded in 1867 by Adrien Céleste Pillon (Ercuis is the name of a little village of the Oise). After his bankruptcy in 1870 the company was revived by George Maës, glass cutter in Clichy. The company started producing tableware in silver and silver plate and soon opened a flagship store in Paris as well as abroad. The factory is still active in present days.
Condition - Generally good with age related marks, surface scratches and blemishes. Slight wear to the silver plate on the base.
