In this painting, a Greek kylix, a find from past centuries, is filled with twigs of snowberries, making it a beautiful still life. The green colour of the leaves, the black kylix and the pink flower of the snowberry, form a range of beautiful complementary colours. Together with the berries on the plinth it is a perfect composition. The dull reflection of light on the pottery is beautifully rendered and the base of the kylix gives just that little extra colour. The accompanying, tailor-made frame also adds something essential to the whole.
Both the painting and the frame are in perfect condition and the painting is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity and a C.V. handwritten by the artist.
The paintings by Leo Pors (1952) can rejoice in a still growing popularity. His work is increasingly sought after not only in Europe, but also far beyond. His work is sold extensively in England, but collectors also have work by him in Italy, Portugal, Germany and other European countries. The paintings are also represented in several corporate collections. His work has also been bought by private collectors in Hong Kong, Taiwan, the USA and Australia. In the USA, the collection of the Ende Museum (Pennsylvania) includes several works by this painter.
Photos of his paintings were also included in the art magazines “Tableau” and “Collect”.
