Beautiful large bronze sculptures of Shiva Nataraja in very good condition.
The sculpture weighs ca. 6.5 Kg and is 45 cm high.
The dance moves depict the five activities of Shiva: the creation, conservation, destruction, energy and redemption of the world. The small drum in his upper right hand represents the creation; the flame in his upper left hand represents the destruction. The front right hand makes the gesture of reassurance, which means the preservation of the world.
The front left arm has the elephant trunk posture, meaning both creation and destruction.
The energy of the god is expressed by the trampling of the dwarf Muyalaka, symbol of ignorance and evil. The raised left leg refers to redemption .
