John Coltrane is beautifully painted with his instrument: the saxophone. John Coltrane (sometimes referred to as "Trane") was an American jazz musician, composer and conductor, born in Hamlet, North Carolina, on 23 September 1926, and died in Huntington, NY, on 17 July 1967.
He is considered, after Charlie Parker in the 1940s and 1950s, to be the most revolutionary and influential saxophonists in jazz history , leading the avant-garde movement in the 1960s, and one of the most significant musicians of the second half of the 20th century.
