The Brazilian painter Menelaw Sete (1964) began painting as an autodidact. Without ever attending an art school, he became interested in painting techniques and he found in it a way to express his originality. This in turn aroused the attention of visitors and owners of art galleries, who invited him to present his sculptural work in different cities. Soon his earned recognition and praise in countries such as Belgium, Germany, Italy and the US.
This by now known and popular "Picasso Of Brazil" has a name and fame at home and abroad. He is seen as an innovative cubist. The work offered in this lot is a beautiful example of this.
