Beautiful oil on panel painting by the artist Ilio Giannaccini.
Dating back to the first half of the 19th century (1925).
Size with frame: 53x42 cm.
Ilio Giannaccini was born in Rome in 1897, he studied at Roman Academy where he held many personal exhibitions until about 1930, when the criticism put him at the same level of the great painters of the time.
Renowned for his keen sensitivity and his warm, serene and noble use of colour.
He deals with human figure and landscape with the same passion.
In this artwork, the choice of colours shows the artistic vein of Giannaccini as the bright colours describe a scene that gives peace and harmony. A quiet pier (presumably on the Tiber river) on a sunny morning in Rome.
